Dan Hawthorne, P.E.
Project Manager
Project Manager Dan Hawthorne was influenced by his eleventh grade chemistry teacher to become a chemical engineer. After serving four years as a Naval officer, he entered the profession in 1976.
Mr. Hawthorne earned his Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and later achieved his professional engineer registration in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
With over 30 years experience in the profession, Mr. Hawthorne has a track record in successfully managing engineering projects. His primary focus is ensuring team members are equipped with the training, tools, guidance, and motivation to achieve goals. Areas of expertise include: account management, expense control, financial analysis, process improvement, quality control, start-up operations, reporting and writing. In addition, Mr. Hawthorne is proficient in engineering design within industrial and manufacturing environments.
Mr. Hawthorne describes the engineering profession as challenging. “New technologies are being developed every day that continue to make the industry interesting and dynamic. In addition, there are new opportunities evolving every day that were not envisioned just a few short years ago” he said.
