Steve Kranz – Executive VP, Principal

Early in life, Steve Kranz enjoyed discovering how things were built and how they worked. “My father’s tool box was my playground.” Science and math became his favorite subjects.

The first in his family to attend college, he earned a self financed BS Math degree from Penn State and later an MBA from Robert Morris University. He holds an EIT certificate and is a member of the Project Management Institute.

Mr. Kranz has over 35 years experience in the engineering and construction business. He started his career in a supporting role in a process group and soon was recognized for his willingness to accept challenges and for his leadership skills. This led to assignments within the project management group where his roles and responsibilities continue to expand.

Project experiences include metals, food, chemical, power, waste-to-energy, alternate fuels and landfill gas processing. Project sites range from the US and Canada to Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East.

“As a young project manager, I had the opportunity to mentor under several senior managers. I believe this experience more than any other, shaped my future. I hope I can have the same impact on the younger members of Venture Engineering.”

Becoming a partner in Venture has offered new and different challenges and opportunities. His goals for Venture include developing an organization which is technologically advanced, able to attract a smart, hard working, critical thinking team and sensitive to the business needs as well as technical needs of our customers.
